10:00 - 11:00 Keynotes - Bogdan-Andrei Iancu - Founder OpenSIPS project
» Presentation of the OpenSIPS, both technical side and project side.
» OpenSIPS 1.10 new beta release - what are the new features
» How to do transcoding with OpenSIPS (integration with Sangoma transcoding cards)
» Call Center / Call Queuing - a flexible and scalable approach based on OpenSIPS
11:00 - 12:00 Ali Pey - Sr. Software Engineer Architect - OpenSIPS, What you can do?
Why OpenSIPS? What it can do for you and what are the advantages of using an open source Proxy Server. I will discuss advantages and best practices for OpenSIPS deployment, OpenSIPS features, capabilities and modules. This presentation will help you to get to know Proxy Servers and OpenSIPS better no matter if you are a beginner or an expert.
12:00 - 14:00 Lunch break
14:00 - 14:30 Vlad Paiu - OpenSIPS project - 1 million concurrent calls and 20k Calls per second with OpenSIPS
Description of an OpenSIPS based architecture that can handle very large amounts of traffic, while also maintaining key features like reliability, fault tolerance ( signaling and media ) and flexibility.
» challenges when building large scale system, from transport layer to DB operations
» asynchronous read/write TCP operations
» how to replicate/synchronize in realtime the dialog information between multiple OpenSIPS instances
14:30 - 15:00 Richard Revels - Bandwidth.com - Interfacing with Opensips Peripherals
An inventory of the external processes and applications that can both remove processing load from the config and enhance the platform. The primary focus will be on sockets outside SIP, like the event interface, but also touching base on SNMP and rsyslog as well.
15:00 - 15:30 Coffee break
15:30 - 16:00 Alex Goulis - CID(name) - CNAM in OpenSIPS
Discuss the benefits of providing CNAM to your customers, who the CNAM provider choices currently are, and methods to integrate CNAM into your opensips.cfg .
16:00 - 16:30 Norman Brandinger - Textplus - Load balancing and Failover using FreeSWITCH and OpenSIPS
This talk will discuss an installation where multiple OpenSIPS servers accept registrations and calls from clients. Configurations will be shown that will allow the calls to be load balanced across multiple FreeSWITCH servers. Failover configurations using a combination of DNS SRV records, Pacemaker (Heartbeat) and/or Keepalived, and Virtual IP's will be shown.
16:30 - 17:00 Flavio Goncalves - SIPPulse - Building a PBX using OpenSIPS and FreeSwitch/Asterisk, a case study
To build a PBX is usually trivial for skilled software engineers. However, to build a pure SIP IP-PBX using only open standards and RFCs is a tough mission. The first question is why to choose a tool that seems inappropriate for the job and the challenges produced by this venture. In this presentation, we will show you a study case of a PBX implementation using OpenSIPS including how to implement services such as call transfer, pickup and recording using only SIP.
17:00 - 18:00 Open discussions
