I always use -w /tmp and that seems to work.
Maybe the user of opensips can't write in the directory that you give in the -w parameter ?

Can you help me to solve the problem, please We have a crash our server with this error:

Jul 8 12:27:56 opensips-main /usr/local/opensips2.2/sbin/opensips[13487]: INFO:core:handle_sigs: child process 13510 exited by a signal 11 Jul 8 12:27:56 opensips-main /usr/local/opensips2.2/sbin/opensips[13487]: INFO:core:handle_sigs: core was generated Jul 8 12:27:56 opensips-main /usr/local/opensips2.2/sbin/opensips[13487]: INFO:core:handle_sigs: terminating due to SIGCHLD Jul 8 12:27:57 opensips-main /usr/local/opensips2.2/sbin/opensips[13487]: INFO:core:cleanup: cleanup Jul 8 12:27:57 opensips-main /usr/local/opensips2.2/sbin/opensips[13487]: NOTICE:event_route:destroy: destroy module ...

In this case it's indicates that "core was generated" but the directory
with dump is emty and there aren't errors. We pass the '-w [FOLDER]' parameter to our
OpenSIPS and set ''ulimit -c unlimited' '. Could you suggest why the file was not created?
