Hey Jerry,
OpenSIPs doesn't really work "out of the box". It requires extensive
configuration and customization.
The default config that is installed does have some rudimentary support for
registrations, but requires a properly setup database which may be your
problem.
Can you post the errors in your syslog? Do you know if opensips is actually
starting up? I suspect it's not.
