If the domain in the RURI does't belong to your proxy, the UAC is
using the proxy as an outbound proxy. It's perfectly valid but, of
course, it depends on your exact scenario.

PS: When you send a mail to some @hotmail.com address, does your mail
pass through Gmail servers or not? Think about it as it's the same
case as you have described.
