Can you check if your 
/usr/share/pyshared/sipsimple/payloads/xml-schemas/oma-pres-content.xsd 
is corrupt?

Also, do other XCAP applications like xcap-directory work? Check it with 
the scripts from the sipclients package, not xcapclient.
